Let me just say this: having a peaceful home is everything.
I’ve noticed that when my space is cluttered, I feel it—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. But when I’ve taken the time to get organized, to clear out the chaos, and to create a calm atmosphere? I feel lighter. More peaceful. More in control. And that peace doesn't just affect me—it impacts my son too.
When our home flows, our lives flow.
Your Environment Matters—More Than You Think
Whether you’re coming out of an emotionally abusive relationship, still trying to navigate the residue of one, or juggling the layered realities of ADHD, motherhood, and healing—it’s hard. And let’s be honest, sometimes it feels nearly impossible.
Especially when you’re doing it alone. Or you have people around, but they’re not showing up in a way that actually supports where you are right now.
The chaos of your environment often mirrors what’s happening internally:
🌀 A cluttered mind becomes a cluttered space.
🌀 A cluttered space chips away at your patience, your confidence, your energy.
🌀 And before you know it, you’re doubting yourself and your ability to change it.
But sis—you can create a home that heals. One step at a time.
My Go-To Tools for Creating a Healing Space
Here are some tools and practices that help me keep my space peaceful and my mind clear:
1️⃣ The 10:10x10 Method This is my personal approach to breaking tasks into manageable chunks. It allows me to start small and stay consistent—without guilt or shame. 🧹🕙
2️⃣ Focusmate Y’all, this is my productivity lifeline. 🔗💻 It pairs me with a virtual accountability partner so we can co-work together. It’s helped me tackle tasks I’ve been procrastinating on by giving me the support of just having someone “there.”
3️⃣ My Planner & Digital Tools I use a combo of my business and personal planner, 📔 Google Calendar, and the Remind app on my phone 📱 to schedule tasks, meetings, and trainings. These tools help me keep track of everything—especially on the days when ADHD tries to steal my focus.
🙏🏽 And Let’s Not Forget the Spiritual Side
None of this would work for me without staying grounded spiritually.
Prayer 🙏🏽 and reading my devotionals 📖 are what keep me centered when everything around me feels loud, messy, or too much.
That’s how I’m learning to be intentional about the energy in my home. 🕯️ I want peace not just around me, but in me—so that my son and I can experience it together.
I want a home that heals, not a home that hides my pain. 🧡🏡
