Let me just say this: having a peaceful home is everything.
Iāve noticed that when my space is cluttered, I feel itānot just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. But when Iāve taken the time to get organized, to clear out the chaos, and to create a calm atmosphere? I feel lighter. More peaceful. More in control. And that peace doesn't just affect meāit impacts my son too.
When our home flows, our lives flow.
Your Environment MattersāMore Than You Think
Whether youāre coming out of an emotionally abusive relationship, still trying to navigate the residue of one, or juggling the layered realities of ADHD, motherhood, and healingāitās hard. And letās be honest, sometimes it feels nearly impossible.
Especially when youāre doing it alone. Or you have people around, but theyāre not showing up in a way that actually supports where you are right now.
The chaos of your environment often mirrors whatās happening internally:
š A cluttered mind becomes a cluttered space.
š A cluttered space chips away at your patience, your confidence, your energy.
š And before you know it, youāre doubting yourself and your ability to change it.
But sisāyou can create a home that heals.Ā One step at a time.
My Go-To Tools for Creating a Healing Space
Here are some tools and practices that help me keep my space peaceful and my mind clear:
1ļøā£ The 10:10x10 MethodĀ This is my personal approach to breaking tasks into manageable chunks. It allows me to start smallĀ and stay consistentāwithout guilt or shame. š§¹š
2ļøā£ FocusmateĀ Yāall, this is my productivity lifeline. šš» It pairs me with a virtual accountability partner so we can co-work together. Itās helped me tackle tasks Iāve been procrastinating on by giving me the support of just having someone āthere.ā
3ļøā£ My Planner & Digital ToolsĀ I use a combo of my business and personal planner, š Google Calendar, and the Remind appĀ on my phone š± to schedule tasks, meetings, and trainings. These tools help me keep track of everythingāespecially on the days when ADHD tries to steal my focus.
šš½ And Letās Not Forget the Spiritual Side
None of this would work for me without staying grounded spiritually.
Prayer šš½ and reading my devotionalsĀ š are what keep me centered when everything around me feels loud, messy, or too much.
Thatās how Iām learning to be intentional about the energy in my home. šÆļø I want peace not just around me, but in meāso that my son and I can experience it together.
I want a home that heals, not a home that hides my pain. š§”š”
