Let me just say this: having a peaceful home is everything.
Iâve noticed that when my space is cluttered, I feel itânot just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. But when Iâve taken the time to get organized, to clear out the chaos, and to create a calm atmosphere? I feel lighter. More peaceful. More in control. And that peace doesn't just affect meâit impacts my son too.
When our home flows, our lives flow.
Your Environment MattersâMore Than You Think
Whether youâre coming out of an emotionally abusive relationship, still trying to navigate the residue of one, or juggling the layered realities of ADHD, motherhood, and healingâitâs hard. And letâs be honest, sometimes it feels nearly impossible.
Especially when youâre doing it alone. Or you have people around, but theyâre not showing up in a way that actually supports where you are right now.
The chaos of your environment often mirrors whatâs happening internally:
đ A cluttered mind becomes a cluttered space.
đ A cluttered space chips away at your patience, your confidence, your energy.
đ And before you know it, youâre doubting yourself and your ability to change it.
But sisâyou can create a home that heals. One step at a time.
My Go-To Tools for Creating a Healing Space
Here are some tools and practices that help me keep my space peaceful and my mind clear:
1ïžâŁ The 10:10x10 Method This is my personal approach to breaking tasks into manageable chunks. It allows me to start small and stay consistentâwithout guilt or shame. đ§čđ
2ïžâŁ Focusmate Yâall, this is my productivity lifeline. đđ» It pairs me with a virtual accountability partner so we can co-work together. Itâs helped me tackle tasks Iâve been procrastinating on by giving me the support of just having someone âthere.â
3ïžâŁ My Planner & Digital Tools I use a combo of my business and personal planner, đ Google Calendar, and the Remind app on my phone đ± to schedule tasks, meetings, and trainings. These tools help me keep track of everythingâespecially on the days when ADHD tries to steal my focus.
đđœ And Letâs Not Forget the Spiritual Side
None of this would work for me without staying grounded spiritually.
Prayer đđœ and reading my devotionals đ are what keep me centered when everything around me feels loud, messy, or too much.
Thatâs how Iâm learning to be intentional about the energy in my home. đŻïž I want peace not just around me, but in meâso that my son and I can experience it together.
I want a home that heals, not a home that hides my pain. đ§ĄđĄ
