From Overwhelmed to Organized: Tackling Mom Life with ADHD

Let’s talk about what it’s really like trying to manage everything as a woman with ADHD—while raising a son, running a business, and healing from the emotional residue of narcissistic abuse and co-parenting with a narcissist. 🫠
It’s summer, but that doesn’t mean life slows down. My son is deep in his Taekwondo trainings, I’m managing business responsibilities, and trying to stay on top of my mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. And with ADHD in the mix, staying focused and organized can feel like chasing a moving target.
There are days when it all feels like too much.
But here's what I’ve learned: overwhelm doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you need a system that fits your life, your energy, and your brain.
It’s Not Just You—This Is Real
If you’ve ever:
Walked into a room and forgot why you were there
Felt scattered, even after making a detailed to-do list
Started five things and struggled to finish one
🙋🏽♀️Sis, you’re not alone. ADHD is often misunderstood, especially in women. But our challenges are real—and so is our strength.
How I Created Structure That Honors My ADHD Brain
I developed a method that helps me function without feeling forced:
💛 The 10:10x10 Method
The 10:10x10 Method is a simple, flexible system created for women with ADHD who feel overwhelmed by everyday tasks and need practical, compassionate support.
It helps you take action without pressure by breaking tasks into manageable steps.
There are two versions:
🔹 Beginner
and
🔹 Advanced
Whether you're drowning in clutter, avoiding laundry, or stressed about your digital chaos—this method helps you work with your energy, not against it.
✅ It supports consistent progress
✅ Builds confidence through small wins
✅ Helps you feel in control again—without shame
Other Tools That Help Me Manage ADHD
I also use a few other go-to resources that keep me steady in the chaos:
📱 Focusmate – A virtual accountability partner that helps me stay focused and knock out tasks without procrastinating.
📔 Personal & Business Planners – I use both to keep life and work separate and a little more sane.
📆 Google Calendar + Remind App – My digital safety net. It keeps me on top of trainings, meetings, and time-sensitive to-dos.
And let’s not forget: grace. Because I’m learning that progress matters more than perfection.
This Isn’t About Being Perfect—It’s About Being Present
This journey is not just about keeping things clean or checking boxes. It’s about creating space—physically and emotionally—so I can actually enjoy my life and be present for my son.
I’m learning to stop shaming myself for not being the most “organized” mom and instead celebrate the ways I do show up—with love, resilience, and intention.
✨ You’re Not Failing. You’re Figuring It Out.
Whether you’re raising babies, running a business, or just trying to keep your head above water—you’re doing the best you can. You’re not behind. You’re just on a different rhythm.
And you don’t have to go at it alone.
